Haninge Soundtrack

Welcome to the page with information about the Haninge Soundtrack project.

"The Haninge Soundtrack" project was initiated in 2020 by composer Marsel Nichan through the cultural association Nuova Arte. It has taken almost three years to prepare all the material and knowledge about Haninge that was needed to be able to create the plan with the project in the best possible way. The project is based around creating a music/soundscape that describes both Haninge as it is now, important and historical places in the municipality, as well as some of the most important events that took place historically in Haninge. The sounds are taken from our nature and the music created directly for this installation.

Marsel discovered early after moving to the municipality in 2017 Haninge's various historical places and events and was immediately fascinated by the rich culture and history that the place is characterized by. Everything from the Graveyard in Jordbro, which is considered one of the largest burial grounds in the Nordics and stems from the older Iron Age to the discovery of the element lithium in Utö over 200 years ago. Marsel has experience both nationally and internationally in working with sound installations in various outdoor environments. In addition, film music has always been close to his heart since childhood, so the idea of making the music (Soundtrack) into a historical place where he also lives came naturally to him.

The non-profit organization Nuova Arte, Haninge Entré together with the composer Marsel Nichan has run this project to improve the outdoor environment and increase the comfort factor in Haninge. In this part, the first part of the project Haninge Soundtrack, we wanted to start by adding sound to a part of the square at the Handen terminal where many people pass by and sit and take a break. The stage/cube where you can experience this sound installation is in progress from the opening on March 17th through September 2nd. The sounds/music will start one piece at a time between approx. at 06 – 23 and between each sound there will be a break of approximately 10 minutes.

Välkommen till sidan med information om projektet Haninge Soundtrack.

Projektet Haninge Soundtrack initierades 2020 av tonsättaren Marsel Nichan genom kulturföreningen Nuova Arte. Det har tagit nästan tre år för att förbereda allt material samt kunskap om Haninge som behövdes för att kunna skapa planen med projektet på ett så bra sätt som möjligt. Projektet bygger kring att skapa musik/ljudlandskap som beskriver både Haninge som det är nu, viktiga och historiska platser som finns i kommunen, samt några utav de viktigaste händelser som ägt rum historiskt i Haninge. Ljuden är hämtade från vår natur och musiken skapad direkt för denna installation.

Marsel upptäckte tidigt efter att ha flyttat till kommunen 2017 Haninges olika historiska platser samt händelser och blev direkt fascinerad av den rika kulturen och historian som platsen präglas utav. Allt ifrån Gravfältet i Jordbro som anses vara ett av Nordens största gravfält och härrör från äldre järnåldern till upptäckten av grundämnet litium i Utö för över 200 år sedan. Marsel har erfarenhet både nationellt samt internationellt med att jobba med ljudinstallationer i olika utomhusmiljöer. Dessutom så har filmmusiken alltid sedan barnsben legat honom varmt om hjärtat så tanken om att göra musiken (Soundtracket) till en historisk plats där han dessutom lever kom naturligt för honom.

Nuova Arte, den ideella organisationen Haninge Entré tillsammans med tonsättaren Marsel Nichan har drivit detta projekt för att förbättra utomhusmiljön och öka trivselfaktorn i Haninge. I denna del första del av projektet Haninge Soundtrack så ville vi börja med att ljud-lägga en del av torget vid Handen terminalen där många människor går förbi samt sitter och tar en paus. Scenen/kuben där man kan uppleva denna ljudinstallation är i gång från och med invigningen den 17 mars till och med 2 september. Ljuden/musiken kommer att gå i gång med ett verk i taget mellan ca. kl. 06 – 23 och mellan varje ljud kommer det vara en paus på ungefär 10 minuter.
